Lithuania

I will try to put up a few pictures from Lithuania every day.

Our last day of school was June 19.

On June 20, we flew to Lithuania for four days. We stayed in Vilnius, but we rented a car for two days and drove out of the city.

We drove to Druskininkia one day to visit Valija and her family.

Another day we drove to Trakia to see the castle, then to Kaunus to see the devil museum.

Croatia

We took a week vacation to Upotija, a beach place in Croatia. The water was beautiful but cold! We left Wednesday 10th and returned Monday the 15th. We stopped at Lake Balaton for a night on the way home.

The Fulbright Dinner Cruise

On May 22, we had our final Fulbright meeting. It was a dinner trip up and down the Danube. The Americans in Hungary were there, as well as the soon to leave Hungarian to  America Fulbrighters. It was a very nice trip.

Update June 5, 2009

So as you can see I sorted out all the other pictures as best I could – and these are the ones I just couldn’t sort out.

We went to Visegrad and Esztergom last weekend, but all of our cameras lost battery, so I won’t be able to post any of those unless one of the other Fulbright people who went there send them to me.

Kelly’s Soccer Team

Kelly joined a Hungarian soccer team a few weeks after we arrived. On May 31 and June 1, they had a tournament. We took the camera and took a few pictures.
